Organizational Management and Leadership: Tribal Option, BAS

Program Description

The Bachelor or Applied Science in Organizational Management and Leadership provides the student an opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully manage and lead within public, private, government, and nonprofit organizations. The curriculum offers specific areas of emphasis, while integrating practical application and active learning strategies to encourage growth in management and leadership roles.

Leadership is more than a title – it is an immersive, empowering, and transformative force that unifies people and strengthens communities. The Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Management and Leadership with a Tribal Leadership option is dedicated to building leaders who serve Tribal Nations and Indigenous peoples with vision, accountability, and cultural integrity. Through practical and culturally grounded learning, students gain the skills to lead effectively in tribal governments, Native nonprofits, education, law, human services, and economic development. Reflective coursework and hands-on tribal experiences ensure leadership development is deeply rooted in tribal community needs and cultural values. Graduates emerge prepared to grow personally and professionally while advancing tribal sovereignty, resilience, and future of Native Nations.
