LEAD 4395 Leadership Capstone

This capstone course offers the student an opportunity to showcase their knowledge and critical thinking skills in the field of leadership. The student will develop a theoretical project that is centered around a complex and real-life problem related to organizational leadership and present their final project to their peers. Prerequisite: Completion of LEAD 3050, LEAD 3110, and LEAD 4005. (3 lect.)

Outcomes

In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:

1. Propose selected leadership theories for a capstone project.

2. Construct insights about one's ability to relate with multi-cultural populations in a leadership capacity.

3. Produce a new model or revise an existing model in an area of interest pertaining to leadership.

4. Integrate critical thinking, innovation, and problem-solving skills in the diagnosis and recommendation of solutions for the identified problem or opportunity.

5. Create an interview instrument for data collection.

6. Evaluate the validity of the interview instrument.
