Message from the President

Let the adventure begin!

We are unique and special, and we’d love you to be a part of our family. We are a nationally ranked, comprehensive four-year college with academic programs that cover traditional college majors and career and technical trades. We offer certificates, two-year associate degrees, and select bachelor's degrees, with many other bachelor's degrees available through transfer partnerships.

We reside in the beautiful mountain area of Wyoming, which offers opportunities for you to explore. We have residence halls in Riverton and at our mountain facility outside Lander. We have a vibrant student life experience with athletic teams, two theatres for plays and movies, many clubs, a choir, a band, and so much more. We are home to the Wyoming Public Broadcasting System (WPBS), which has a prowess in all things related to media and marketing. From our facilities in Jackson, adjacent to the Tetons and Yellowstone, we will soon be opening a new facility with even more course offerings.

Regarding the trades, you can learn to train horses in one of our two beautiful indoor arenas, weld pipe in an expansive shop with a robotic welder, or fix electric or gas cars in our auto bays. You can also become a nurse in our nationally-ranked nursing program, learn animal science, craft meat processing, and other agricultural trades, or acquire many job skills as part of our applied sciences certificates and degrees.

Do you already have a degree or trade? Our Bachelor of Applied Sciences (BAS) degree in Organizational Management and Leadership can help you advance your career. Do you want to become a teacher? Our BAS in Early Childhood Education prepares students to teach preschool through third grade.

In terms of arts and sciences, you can find your creative muse in our excellent theatre, art, or music programs. You can also fall in love with Shakespeare, discover the interworkings of human psychology, conduct hands-on scientific research, improve your writing or math skills, or discover the business entrepreneur within yourself. We have an extensive business start-up infrastructure. We even have a farm incubator program at our 127-acre mountain farm.

Whether you want to become a medical doctor, learn a trade, or acquire skills to enhance the quality of your life, we have a pathway for you. The sky's the limit. At CWC,  you are the proverbial kid in the candy store.

You matter to us, and our mission is to serve you and transform your life positively.
