GIST 1100 Workshop in UAV Mapping and GIS Applications

This course provides a hands-on introduction to using Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) for geospatial data collection and analysis. The student will learn basic flight planning, safety protocols, data capture techniques, and how to process UAV data to create maps and 3D models. The course also explores real-world applications of UAV technology in fields like agriculture, environmental monitoring, and land management along with key ethical considerations. (1 lect.)
