ENGL 1210 Engcomp I - International Student

The course addresses basic academic writing. It is designed to meet the needs of students of diverse cultures, at different levels of language proficiency. The objective of the course is to equip the student with procedural knowledge (a set of routines) that can be applied to various academic writing patters such as description, process analysis, argumentation and the research essay. By the end of the course, the student will be able to apply The Writing Process efficiently to produce written text in other academic settings. (3 lect.) WR1
