OEAC 2020 Mountaineering:
Along with a wide range of mountaineering techniques, this course prepares the student in map-reading and route finding, minimum-impact camping, and first aid. Safety, judgment, leadership skills, and environmental ethics are emphasized. While this course will focus on outdoor skills, expedition behavior will be part of the course curriculum. The student will learn to live and work closely with classmates. Tolerance for adversity and uncertainty, respect for others and the environment, and a willingness to work hard will be critical to success.
