Program description

The Social Work Associate of Arts program provides an introduction to social work and human service fields.  This program is designed for the student interested in pursuing and transferring into a four-year degree program in social work. The Social Work AA should fulfill the first two-year requirements for most bachelor-level programs in social work. The student will develop skills necessary for entry-level employment opportunities in daycare centers, mental-health centers, school systems, long-term and acute-care facilities, chemical-dependency centers, and centers for the developmentally disabled.
