Tribal Historic Preservation Officer Certificate I

Program Description

The Tribal Historic Preservation Officer Certificate I is intended to provide a culturally and academically sound program to train mid-level professionals working for the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone Tribal Historic Preservation Offices. The student will assist in the preservation of historic and important cultural properties and artifacts. Observational and technical skills utilized by professional archaeologists are taught to ensure accurate site surveys and culturally-sensitive treatment of artifacts and properties. The student will professionally communicate the site survey results.
