Criminal Justice Cert I - Corrections Option

Program Description

The Criminal Justice Certificate I, Corrections Option, is designed to meet the needs of the student interested in working in corrections. The magnitude and changing complexity of the criminal justice system, criminal activities, and corrections systems in society dictate the need for criminal justice personnel that think critically and are empowered to make ethical decisions when responding to the unique needs of our corrections population. The program includes General Education courses from the college curriculum and Criminal Justice courses focused on preparing the student to pursue entry-level or advance to supervisory positions in today's complex corrections environment.

The Criminal Justice Certificate I, Corrections, is tailored to help advance careers in the criminal justice field.
