This course introduces the four basic women’s haircuts and hairstyling techniques. Prerequisite: Completion of BARB-1530. (8 lab)

Identify the differences between men’s and women’s haircutting.
Explain the four basic women’s haircuts.
Discuss other haircutting techniques.
Explain different hairstyling techniques.
Demonstrate a blunt cut.
Demonstrate a graduated cut.
Demonstrate a uniform-layered cut.
Demonstrate a long-layered cut.
Demonstrate a consultation for a women’s haircut and/or style.
Demonstrate proper infection control procedures.
