MDIA 2970 Radio Practicum
In this course students are introduced to broadcasting's day-to-day operations and applications, such as show prep, planning, preparing, delivery, scripting, and performance and operational standards. Students are expected to satisfy practicum requirements by assuming KCWC-FM station responsibilities. This course may be repeated for a maximum of 12 credits applicable toward graduation. (3 lect.)

Outcomes
In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:
1. Summarize the radio preproduction process of an on-air announcer.
2. Demonstrate the radio production process of an on-air announcer.
3. Illustrate script-writing skills for on-air delivery.
4. Explain the radio preproduction process of commercial production.
5. Practice the radio production process of commercial production.
6. Explain the post-production process of commercial production using the latest audio editing software.
7. Demonstrate the process of live remote productions.
