DNTA 1810 Dental Assisting Fundamentals

This course is designed to provide an introduction to general chairside manner and chairside dental procedures. The student will learn to read and prepare dental charts. (4 lect., 2 lab)

Outcomes

1. Identify the basics of general chairside assisting, including: a. Collecting and recording data; b. Demonstrating proper dentistry techniques; c. Charting.

2. Demonstrate the ability to perform, or assist to perform, intraoral procedures

3. Demonstrate proper patient management

4. Demonstrate proper technique in handling a difficult patient
