Emergency Medical Technician Certificate II

Program Description

This certification prepares the student for entry-level practice as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Learning modalities include lecture, lab, and ambulance ride-time or emergency room observation. In addition to training in basic life support (BLS) for healthcare providers, this certificate contains the elements necessary to qualify the student to take the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) psychomotor and cognitive exams required for Wyoming licensure. Candidates for licensure must be at least 18 years of age. The student must pass a background check and drug screen, and meet specific health screening and immunization requirements to participate in this program.
