PEAT 2025 Varsity Rodeo
This course is designed to prepare varsity rodeo athletes for competition. Emphasis is placed on improving and developing techniques needed to perform in the rodeo arena along with instruction in the interpretation of the rules regulating all rodeo events. Students must be active National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) members and participate in Central Rocky Mountain Region (CRMR) rodeos. Prerequisite: Instructor permission. (2 lab) (Max 4)

Outcomes
In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:
1. Demonstrate eligibility by enrolling in 12 academic credit hours; pass 9 of the 12 credits with a minimum grade of C and maintain a 2.0 GPA.
2. Provide documentation that the student has an active NIRA card.
3. Conduct themselves within the guidelines as outline by the NIRA, Central Rocky Mountain Region, State of Wyoming, Central Wyoming College Student Policy, and CWC Rodeo Program policies.
4. Complete entry forms for each college rodeo Thursday evenings between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm of the week prior to the scheduled rodeo.
5. Pay entry fees in cash before 8:00 pm on the Thursday prior to the first performance.
6. Enroll and attend specialized Rodeo PE class.
7. Apply mental and physical preparation while performing rough stock and/or timed events.

Enrolled high school students are not qualified to enroll in the CWC Rodeo Program.
