MGT 3010 Personal Leadership

This course comprehensively examines personal patterns of leadership, including conflict resolution, communication, listening, empowerment/delegation, organization, and decision-making. Through analysis, case study, and personal assessment, the student will grow in awareness and critical thinking around best leadership approaches to use in a given situation based on their own predispositions. The student will develop a personal leadership vision, goals, and development plan. Prerequisite: Completion of MGT 3005. (3 lect.)

Outcomes

In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:

1. Evaluate individual leadership profiles including strengths, weaknesses, and behavioral patterns.

2. Contrast different styles of communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making.

3. Examine empowerment and delegation theories.

4. Create a personal leadership plan, vision, and strategy.
