CSMO 2500 General Professional Standards I
In this course the student will explore the development of professionals and educators at the collegiate level. The course will cover models in personality types, boundaries, emotional intelligence, conflict management, and ethics and decision making in education. (3 lect.)

Outcomes
In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:
1. Describe how differences in personality types, including yourself, colleagues, and others,
influence the educational culture
2. Explain boundaries; the impact on personal, professional, and educational situations
3. Describe ethics; synthesize an ethical model with real life dilemmas
4. Define components of professional development in discourse communities
5. Describe the impact of emotional intelligence in professional discourse
