This course includes the study of Federal Aviation Regulations, flight dynamics, meteorology, navigation, and airport operations. This course is designed to fulfill the ground school requirement for the FAA Private Pilot Certificate. (3 lect.)

Outcomes

In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:

1. Explain the requirements of FAR Part 61

2. Discuss aviation opportunities and human factors in aviation

4. Explain the concepts of and processes related to flight safety, airports, aeronautical charts, airspace, radio communications, and air traffic control services.
