NAIS 2350 Cultural Institute

The focus of this course is developing a greater knowledge and comprehension of the people of the Wind River Indian Reservation. Students will attend events, presentations, and visit various locations on the Reservation that are historical and contemporary significance. (3 lect.)

Outcomes

In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:

1. Describe and assess aspects of Native culture on the Wind River Indian Reservation

2. Explain current social, historical, and political issues that affect the lives of the two tribes

3. Assess the programs, institutions, facilities and activities observed during the reservation site visits
