Outcomes
In order to successfully complete this course, the student will:
1. Create a simple database system.
2. Use the terminology associated with Database Management System use.
3. Create and modify the structure of a database table.
4. Perform multiple sorts on fields and locate records
5. Write expressions and conditions using the various operators and functions and enter conditions into a query.
6. Use summary statistics commands in conjunction with a database file.
7. Replace field contents on a selective basis, and delete, recall, and purge records.
8. Design and create forms, reports, and labels.
9. Use multiple files and create relationships between and among them.
10. Incorporate the use of macros and Visual Basic for Applications to customize a database by creating a switchboard.
11. Design appropriate dialog boxes within a switchboard
