Program Description
The field of Barbering encompasses a broad range of specialty areas including esthetics, straight razor shaving, and precision haircutting with a razor. The Certificate I in Barbering No Chemicals is designed to prepare the student with the knowledge and skills needed in hair and skin care to exclude chemical services. The program emphasizes safety and infection control in all aspects of the various disciplines. The student will also study professional skills to communicate effectively and make sound decisions. The program prepares the student to take the licensure exam through the Wyoming State Board of Barbering. Completion of this program does not guarantee licensure.
Applicants must meet the general admission requirements of Central Wyoming College and the Wyoming Board of Barbering Examiners.
