Fines and Outstanding Debts

Any debt not paid by the established due date may be assessed a late charge/balance forward charge of $20 per month. A returned check fee of $35 will also be assessed. Additionally, non-payment of these debts may revoke a student’s current registration and the student’s right to enroll in subsequent semesters at CWC and will prevent the release of grades, transcripts, diplomas and degree verifications. Delinquent debts may require other penalties in addition to these fees, such as collection costs and/or legal fees to be paid before good standing is restored to the student.

Individual students are liable for payment of fines such as those assessed due to the student’s failure to return items of equipment provided by a department, careless or negligent breakage of equipment, or failure to comply with regulations for which a published system of fines is in effect. Failure to pay such assessments or any other sums of money owed to the college may result in the denial of further registrations at Central Wyoming College and/or withholding of transcripts, grades, diplomas and degree verifications.
